Reaction to the statement by the mayor of New York
This statement by Donald Trump was posted on the social network Truth Social in response to remarks from New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Zohran Mamdani had previously suggested the possibility of arresting Benjamin Netanyahu if he arrives in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
Donald Trump also emphasized that “the only ones who should be arrested are those who involved Iran in this unprecedented spiral of death and destruction”. He added that “previous presidents should have resolved this issue many years ago”.
