President of Brazil Luís Inácio Lula da Silva maintains his lead in all voting scenarios ahead of the 2026 presidential elections, according to the latest poll conducted by the AtlasIntel institute for Bloomberg.
In the main scenario for the first round, Lula would receive 44.9% of the votes, leading Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a candidate from the Liberal Party (PL), who would garner 35.8%. Other candidates trail significantly: Renan Santos — 7.8%, former governor of Goiás Ronaldo Caiado — 3.1%, and former governor of Minas Gerais Romeu Zema — 2.8%.
Lula’s Advantage in the Second Round
In simulations for the second round, the president would also maintain an advantage over all potential opponents. In a direct matchup with Flávio Bolsonaro, Lula would receive 49.2% of the votes, while the senator would secure 42.9%. The gap between them is 6.3 percentage points.
Compared to the June poll, support for both candidates has increased slightly: Lula’s rating rose from 48.8% to 49.2%, and Flávio Bolsonaro’s from 42.3% to 42.9%. Both changes fall within the margin of statistical error, which is one percentage point.
The poll also indicates that the political landscape in the country remains highly polarized. Flávio Bolsonaro has the highest level of negative sentiment among potential candidates at 52.9%, followed closely by Lula with 49.4%.
