2027 Presidential Elections: Marine Le Pen and Edouard Philippe Recognized as Most Convincing on Economic Issues

A survey by Odoxa for Le Figaro, conducted on the occasion of the first large‑scale presidential debates organized by Medef at Roland-Garros, showed that Marine Le Pen and Edouard Philippe are considered the most convincing candidates on economic issues in the 2027 presidential elections. The RN candidate leads on all economic indicators, almost on par with the former prime minister.

The economy, which was seen as one of Marine Le Pen’s weak points during the last two presidential campaigns, could now be her advantage. Eight months before the vote, 36% of French people say the RN candidate would implement good economic policy if elected, according to the Odoxa‑Backbone survey for Le Figaro. She is almost tied with Edouard Philippe, who scores 35%, the gap falling within the margin of error.
