China and Egypt begin second joint air force exercises

China and Egypt will conduct their second joint air force exercises aimed at deepening military cooperation between the countries.

The second joint exercises, known as “Eagles of Civilization 2026”, will take place in Egypt from mid-August to early September. They will continue the bilateral training program, the first exercises of which took place last year.

According to the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, the exercises will include air combat tactics, air superiority operations, combat search and rescue, as well as joint force application drills. The maneuvers are intended to improve operational coordination between the military forces of the two countries.

Cooperation and regional stability

A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, Chen Xi, stated that from mid-August to early September, Chinese and Egyptian air forces will conduct the “Eagles of Civilization 2026” exercises in Egypt. According to him, the program will cover air combat tactics, air superiority operations, combat search and rescue, as well as force interaction drills.

Chen Xi also noted that the second joint exercises will help strengthen mutual trust and traditional friendship, deepen practical cooperation between the Chinese and Egyptian military, as well as regional peace and stability.

The exercises indicate the strengthening of defense ties between Beijing and Cairo, which are expanding military cooperation through joint training and strategic exchanges.
