According to Zelenskyy, the conversation was “good”, and he described its course as “detailed and constructive”. He emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue between the U.S. and Ukrainian negotiating teams and noted that the parties are currently discussing a possible visit date.
Zelenskyy believes such a trip would be “very useful” for developing solutions to achieve peace. He also briefed Witkoff and Kushner on the battlefield situation, saying that “Russia’s gains are insignificant and come at the cost of enormous losses”, and updated them on recent airstrikes.
The negotiating teams will remain in contact to coordinate the agenda and set the most convenient schedule for further communication. Zelenskyy thanked President Trump, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner and everyone in the United States working to make peace a shared achievement.
