Israel has threatened the United Kingdom with retaliatory measures in response to potential British sanctions. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Tuesday that his country would respond to any possible sanctions imposed by London.
Israel’s statement
“If the United Kingdom acts against the State of Israel, then the State of Israel will act against the United Kingdom,” Gideon Saar told Israeli news website Ynet. “We have the means to do so,” he added.
The warning comes amid statements from London about preparing measures in connection with attacks by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank.
