Medvedev threatens strikes on German military enterprises

Former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated that Germany deserves strikes on enterprises that manufacture weapons for the Ukrainian army.

He wrote this on Telegram**, as reported by «Yevropeyska Pravda». Medvedev was responding to accusations from Berlin that Moscow was involved in a hybrid attack at Leipzig Airport. The Russian official called the incident «fabricated» and said it was «the mildest form of punishment for the sins» of Germany’s current government.

The deputy head of Russia’s Security Council said that Germany deserves strikes on all German enterprises producing military equipment for Ukraine, as well as «some other places in Berlin».

Germany’s accusations and retaliatory measures

Recall that on September 1, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt stated that Russia was responsible for the incident involving an explosive‑laden drone near a Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig/Halle Airport last month.

In response to the Leipzig incident, Germany announced measures, including the closure of Russia’s consulate general in Bonn and the «Russkiy Dom» in Berlin.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on Germany’s decision to close the «Russkiy Dom» and the Russian consulate general, said that Germany would receive a «worthy response».
