Clashes erupt between migrants in Ceuta, police fire warning shots

Clashes between migrants broke out this morning in Ceuta, in the Loma Colmenar district. The incident occurred after hundreds of migrants from the Maghreb countries, who had been living rough in recent weeks, began entering a temporary reception center set up by the government.

According to police sources, the clashes arose due to a mass influx of migrants trying to push forward, bypassing the queue of those already waiting to enter. Police intervened, deploying significant forces, and officers fired several warning shots into the air with firearms to control the crowd.
