Ukrainian ground robots completed over 25,000 military missions in August — a 3.3-fold increase since January

In August, Ukrainian ground robotic systems (GRS) completed more than 25,000 logistics and evacuation missions, a 3.3-fold increase compared to January. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this on Monday.

Ground robots are used to replace personnel in high-risk areas. They deliver ammunition, water, and food, and are also used to evacuate the wounded.

Ukraine is scaling up the use of robotic systems

According to the Ministry of Defense, approximately 112,000 such missions have been recorded in the DELTA combat system since the beginning of the year, with the number growing every month.

At the same time, the ministry is increasing its procurement of ground robotic systems. Last month, the Defense Procurement Agency DOT announced its first competitive tender for the purchase of such systems.
