Russian Ambassador: Attack on Leipzig airport would have looked different if Moscow had organized it

A drone attack on the Leipzig airport in Germany would have ended quite differently had it truly been organized by Moscow. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev on the podcast of German blogger Ungeskriptet, as reported by Meduza.

“We have already stated at all levels that we do not want a war with NATO and we do not want a war with Germany. If we really wanted to do something in Leipzig, it could have looked quite different, as you know perfectly well,” the diplomat noted.

Sergey Nechaev emphasized that Moscow has no intention of provoking the public or the government of Germany. Furthermore, he added that Russia considers the sabotage at the Leipzig airport a “deliberate provocation” and rejects accusations of its involvement in the incident.
