Mohammad Mokhber, an advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, described the Houthi advance in Yemen as “a brilliant victory” on Friday, September 11. He made the statement after the Tehran-backed Houthis seized control of a key island in the strategically vital Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

Mokhber welcomed the Houthi gains in a post on the social media platform X, referring to them as Ansarullah, an alternative name for the group.
The Houthis are Yemeni fighters who receive military and financial support from Iran and are currently at war with the Yemeni government forces.
