Donald Trump threatens to bomb Oman if the country interferes with the blockade of Iranian ships

President Donald Trump threatened to bomb Oman if the country interferes with the American blockade of Iranian ships in the Strait of Hormuz, reported Fox News. During a telephone interview, Trump told the channel: “If Oman gets in the way, we will bomb them.”

He noted that the blockade is putting pressure on Iran and added that he has not set clear time frames for resolving the conflict, emphasizing that he is not in a hurry. The war with Iran has been going on for almost six months, and its end is not yet in sight.

Negotiations and economic consequences

Negotiations between the United States and Iran aimed at achieving lasting peace have reached a deadlock, and periodic clashes continue to flare up, disrupting the supply of oil and other key goods through the critical Strait of Hormuz. The conflict has caused a sharp rise in oil and gas prices, putting additional pressure on the Republican Party ahead of the midterm elections in November.
